Everlasting Life Photography Business Policies

This document is intended to outline the business policies and procedures used by Michelle Harvey of Everlasting Life Photography. Please fill out and check any required information before submitting.

Session Fee and Details:
Your Session fee is due in full, on or before the day of your session. The studio session fee is $100 and the on-location session fee is $125. This covers 5 people for up to two hours of session time. Up to three hours is available for newborn sessions. There is a $20 fee for each additional person. This session fee covers Michelle's time and talent as well as the presentation of 15-30 proofs in a password protected online gallery.

After your Session:
Your gallery will be hosted approximately 2 weeks following your session. For those previewing online, I will call or email you with the login details to the online gallery. Your online gallery expires within six days. It is highly recommended that you make your purchasing decisions within this time frame. You can email your order or just give me a call with the order details. If you would like to re-publish your gallery for an additional 6 days, there is a $20 fee. If you would like to come into the studio to view printed proofs as an alternative to the online proofing gallery, an appointment can be scheduled. Your session portraits will be displayed in an online gallery for 48 hours prior to your studio appointment to give you and your extended family a quick preview of the available portraits. Please be aware that I do not allow the printed proofs to leave the studio so please come prepared to place an order. Feel free to bring any family or relatives who may also be interested in ordering.
Print orders:
Print orders must be made and paid in full before they are sent to the lab to be processed. All images from your gallery will be deleted 30 days after your session gallery is hosted if no order is placed. Images that have been ordered will be kept on file for one year only before they are purged. You are welcome to place a re-print order from the images you originally purchased. There is a $50 minimum on re-prints.

Due to the custom nature of each session, all sales final.

Exclusive Photographer:
Please only bring the people that will be photographed to the session. Also, please note that no other camera, camcorder, or recording device may be used at the session.

Retouching:
Basic retouching is included within the session fee. Retouching includes small facial scars, blemishes, and eye circles.

Storyboard Designs & Cards:
Pre-made card designs will be shown to you. You may make up to three small revisions, any additional revisions will be charged at $50 per hour. For collages, if you’d like revisions after a collage or storyboard has been shown to you, you must first pay a 50% non-refundable retainer on the purchase of a collage. No further revisions will be made without such retainer.

Under the Weather:
If your child is feeling ill, please call to reschedule. Michelle understands that sometimes, this happens. If you must cancel, please try to do so at least 48 hours before your session.

Travel Fee:
There is a $25 travel fee for locations 50km outside of Mount Forest.

Portrait Care:
Handle your portraits with extreme care. Damage incurred as a result of improper handling, framing or hanging is the responsibility of the client.

Re-Shoots:
Re-shoots are at the discretion of the photographer and are not given for regretful personal choices such as hair and clothing.

Payment Options:
Michelle accepts cash, cheques, and money orders. Michelle can also send you an invoice via PayPal. Your email address is required for this option. Please note that session fees, prints and products are subject to GST and PST.

Personal Cheques:
Cheques returned by the bank, for any reason, will be charged a $25.00 service charge and all orders will be cancelled if they are not paid in full within five days of notification.

Final Prints:
Your final print order will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after your order has been placed. Items such as canvases, and larger print sizes may take up to 4-6 weeks. Michelle will contact you by phone or email in order to set up a convenient time for your images to be delivered.

Copyright Information:
The photographer Michelle Harvey retains the copyright and ownership of all images of the photo session and reserves the right reproduce images for portfolio, studio display, gallery display, website, self promotion, photo contests, etc. Clients are not allowed to reproduce any images produced by the photographer for any purpose. Likewise, clients cannot authorize any reproductions of the images for commercial or personal use. As an artist, Michelle wishes to have complete control over the final look of her client's images, and scanned images damage her reputation as a photographer by distorting and devaluing the image quality.
Thank you for respecting Michelle Harvey’s work and livelihood by choosing not to reproduce her images.

Contract Information:
If the Studio/Photographer cannot perform this Contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographers illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return any deposit or session fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer. In the event the Studio/Photographer fails to perform for any other reason, the Studio/Photographer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the Clients order.
